Orientation session on US Exchange Outreach Program held at Shah Abdul Latif University

An Orientation Session on US Exchange Outreach Program was held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Benazir Chair, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur jointly organized by the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur and US Consulate, Karachi and United States Education Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP). A team of speakers from US Consulate Karachi and USEFP visited the university and delivered presentations to the Faculty Members and Undergraduate Students of University. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor presided the session.

Talking to the participants Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said that liaison and networking are integral component of the university growth and strategies. He said networking and collaboration enhance the intellectual capacity in the universities. The Vice Chancellor commended the efforts of delegates who brought the excellent academic opportunities for undergraduate students and Faculty Members.

Prof. Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, Focal Person of the Exchange Programs highlighted the importance of these undergraduate scholarships for the students of the University.

The delegates comprised of Mr. Bilal Rizvi from US Consulate, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto USEFP Full Bright Section, Ms Shiza Toor and Mr Omar Bashir from USEFP.

They gave insights over the Global UGRAD program in which students of undergraduate programs are eligible to apply for one semester in any partner university in US. The program is managed by USEFP.
