SALU teams clinched three-day Ababeel recreational students’ festival

The Teams of Cricket, Football, Volleyball (Boys) and Badminton (Girls) Teams of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur won the Three-Day Ababeel Recreational Students Festival held at Pano Akil Cantonment. In Cricket Boys event, SALU team beat Sindh University Larkana Campus. In Volleyball Boys event, SALU beat Sukkur IBA while in Football Boys event SALU beat The Shaikh Ayaz University, Shikarpur and in Badminton Girls event, SALU beat Chandika Medical College, Larkana. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor distributed the trophies among the winner teams at Vice Chancellor Secretariat.
Talking to the participants, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said our students possess vast talent in curricular and sports activities. This reflects from the talent of the students. He said positive and healthy activities are very essential to contribute for youth development and sense of competition. He also appreciated the role of Directorate of Physical Education for their positive role to guide and prepare the students in various games at national level.
Dr. Inayatullah Bhatti, Chairman Sports & Gymkhana extended his cordial thanks to Vice Chancellor for his generous patronage for providing a viable platform and opportunities to the students.
Mr. Muhammad Murad Pirzada, Director Physical Education briefed the Vice Chancellor about the participation in this mega event. He also extended his cordial thanks to the Pano Akil Cantonment administration for providing them opportunities who participated in the event.
Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Ali Raza Lashari, Incharge Students Societies Centre, Mr. Ghulam Mujtaba Jatoi, Deputy Director Physical Education, Mr. Taj Muhammad Mahar, Coach, Mr. Zohaib Shafqat Memon, Secretary to Vice Chancellor, Mr. Amjad Soomro, Ms. Fareeda Chohan and other were present.
Meanwhile, The Two Girls Students of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur Ms. Sana Khatoon Junejo and Ms. Bebi Asia have been selected at national level in Prime Minister Talent Hunt Squash National League. This league is scheduled to be held on December 12, 2023 at Islamabad.
