How to send a WhatsApp message without saving the number

Want to send a message on WhatsApp without saving the contact number? You’re not alone. Many people look for a way to message a number directly, without cluttering their phonebook with temporary contacts.

Luckily, WhatsApp has a built-in trick that lets you message or call any number directly — no external app or website needed.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Open WhatsApp on your smartphone.
2. Tap the New Chat icon and select your own number from the contact list.
3. Type the mobile number (you want to contact) in the message box and send it to yourself.
4. Tap the number you just sent.
5. A menu will appear — choose Call or Message.
6. A chat window with that number will open. You can now send a message or make a call instantly.

Important Note:

Make sure your mobile is connected to the internet. This method won’t work offline. Once the message is sent, the chat remains accessible, even if you go offline later.
